Continuing to broaden the scope of our operations, we are excited to announce that Catalyst has now established a specialized in-house digital games and interactive storytelling division called CATALYST INTERACTIVE.

The new division will be headed by Catalyst co-founder Al Hardiman. Jaspal Sohal, the former Head of Games at Creative England, will join Catalyst Interactive in a senior creative position. “CATALYST INTERACTIVE will incorporate our storytelling skills with cutting-edge technology to create a truly immersive gaming experience” said Hardiman.

CATALYST INTERACTIVE is launching amidst a surge in the narrative gaming sector that is helping to redefine the entertainment ecosystem.  In 2017, for the first time, a VR project by Oscar-Winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant) was included in the Cannes Film Festival’s Official Selection. Of his project, “Carne y Arena”, Iñárritu said “There is an opportunity to liberate (the moving image) from many, many, many things…It’s a quite different way to feel emotions or sensations that sometimes are hard to express. This technology, I think, can offer the possibility to experience those, and articulate them with the mind on another level.”

CATALYST INTERACTIVE will focus on producing games that follow a revolutionary interactive storytelling experience for the player Get ready for the VR revolution.
